Another day
yet another day today
waiting for tomorrow,
hoping that the sun will rise again
behind mountains of hope.
yet another day today
dust and debris to obscure
looks lost in the dark,
red eyes without tears
where blood flows out of anger.
yet another day today
a day of sun does not heat,
a day of water that quenches
a day of ground sinking.
One day does not expect more tomorrow.
